Interviewing With Reports:
The Real Estate Simulator reports can be a great tool to help you make the most of each interview. Before the interview, the results can be used to help prepare you to ask questions that deal with certain potential deficiencies that a candidate may posses.
For example, you may want to ask additional questions concerning where a candidate has scored in the needs improvement area of the assessment. This will give you a good opportunity to determine what the issues are concerning that area of development. This will also help position you to provide better direction and assistance in helping the candidate improve that area should you decide to hire them.
During the interview you are going to want to start off on a positive note. So start off by discussing the areas where the candidate excelled in and then move into the areas where they fell short.
Following the review, you are going to want to ask the candidate how they found the analysis and see if they agree or disagree with the results.
The degree to which they feel the results are a reflection of themselves personally may have implications for future training.
If you have a candidate who completely disagrees with their results and thinks that it is not an accurate reflection of them, then you may find it difficult to train the individual in the identified areas of weakness. If they do not see any issues with their potential performance to begin with, then they may be less inclined to see value in the training that you prescribe.
Whereas if you have someone who agrees with the results and realizes that there is a need for change, then there is a greater willingness from the individual to want to improve the area of weakness.
Once you have described particular areas of weakness to the candidate, you can provide them with immediate assistance using the “click here” links located in the assessment details below the graph section. These links will take you to tips and recommendations that can be used to help your candidate immediately improve in any identified area of weakness.
You could also look at the results as a collective of your top agents and see what’s in common with them. This way when you have candidates who are inexperienced complete the assessment, you can look at the results and see if they have the potential to be those of your top agents.
Similarly you can look at the results of your weak agents and develop a profile and use it to avoid future weak performers.
Over time you will get more comfortable with the results and even find other relationships that have more importance for you.
